Sean P. McLaughlin is a turfgrass professional, educator, and consultant specializing in science-based turfgrass management solutions for golf courses, sports fields, professional stadiums, commercial landscapes, and residential properties. He graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a B.S. in Plant Science with an emphasis in Turfgrass Science in 2018 and an M.S. in Agriculture with a Plant Science option in 2021.

His professional experience includes work with Division I collegiate golf, football, baseball, lacrosse, and soccer programs, as well as NFL teams, PGA Tour events, the Super Bowl, and professional sports stadiums.

Sean currently serves as a Lecturer of Turfgrass Science at Cal Poly Pomona and an Instructor with UC Riverside Turfgrass Extension. He has also contributed to research with organizations and companies including the USGA, Rain Bird, The Scotts Company, Pure Seed/Rose Agri-Seed, and others. His consulting approach combines academic training, applied research, and real-world field experience to provide practical recommendations for turfgrass health, performance, and appearance.
